My Marilindas

Pattern: Marilinda by Cookie A. from Knit, Sock, Love
Yarn: Knit Pick's Stroll Sock Yarn in Sparkle

I started these a while back, but haven't had much time to work on them. I have a bunch of projects going at once and very little free time lately!

Movie Reviews

I've been slacking on keeping up with my movie reviews...  so here is what I've seen so far in 2011:

I saw the Green Lantern a few weeks ago, but forgot to post about it… It was funny. Nothing amazing, but still an enjoyable action comedy.  I laughed a lot, and sometimes that is exactly what you need from a movie!

I went to see The King’s Speech after open studios with Rachel a while back (a couple months ago at this point). I really liked it! I was expecting it to be good considering all the buzz it has gotten, but I was a tad worried it would be dry or stuffy. I was pleasantly surprise. Not only was it really good it was also really funny. I definitely recommend it! Plus, who doesn’t love Colin Firth?

At first I didn't really want to go see this... I'm not usually a fan of boxing, or sports in general, but I am glad I went to see this one. I liked it a lot. It was particularly interesting to me considering I live a few towns over from where it is set and I grew up in this general area. I thought both Mark Walberg and Christan Bale did a fantastic job!

I wanted to see The Adjustment Bureau, but I didn’t think I was going to love it.  I was expecting it to be more of an action movie, yet I would classify it as more of a drama. I liked the underlining message about free will as well. I definitely recommend it.

Rango was really fun! I enjoyed the characters a lot, and I love Johnny Depp so there was that! I get the feeling adults would enjoy it more than kids, but I don’t have any children so I can’t really say for sure.  The nod to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at the beginning was absolutely fantastic!

Henry Rollins

I went to see Henry Rollins this weekend and enjoyed the show very much.  I was impressed with with him, he is truly a very interesting man.  While I did not agree with all of his points, I did respect his passion and his love of learning, traveling, and sharing.

I tried to take some pictures with my phone but it was crowded and dark...
